もうすぐ4月1日。

そう、いよいよGlastonburyのチケットが発売される。

それに向けて、先日こんなメールが届いた。

GLASTONBURY TICKETS
Please read the following information if you are planning to apply for tickets to the Glastonbury festival on April I.
Make sure you have all the following information in advance of April 1.
You will need the following for each of the people for whom you wish to buy a ticket
1. Their registration number – Your registration number is (自分のリファレンス番号)
2. Their last name – The surname we have registered for you is (自分の苗字)
3. The debit card details for the transaction, including security code
4. The delivery address, with postcode, that you would like the tickets sent to
Please ensure that enough money is in your account to cover the cost of tickets (｣145 per ticket, ｣5 handling charge per ticket, ｣4 P&P per transaction).

ここで気になったのが、3番目のデビットカード。

あれ？クレジットカードじゃダメなの？？

というわけで、Glastonburyのオフィシャル・サイトをチェック。

そこには以下のように書かれていた。

Tickets for Glastonbury 2007 go on sale at 9.00am, Sunday April 1st.
You can either purchase online here at SeeTickets or through the telephone ticket line – 0870 165 2007 (International Sales +44 115 993 4183) from 9.00am on April 1st.
Please make sure you have the following information available before you apply to purchase tickets.
For each of the people for whom you wish to buy a ticket you will need:
Their registration number.
Their last name.
You will also need:
The debit card details including security code for all UK purchases (or, for overseas international purchase only, the credit card with security code).
The address, with postcode, to which you would like the tickets delivered.
Please ensure that enough money is in your account to cover the cost of tickets (£145 ticket price + £5 handling charge per ticket and £4 delivery charge per transaction).

上記によると、「イギリス国内で購入する場合は、デビットカード、海外から購入する場合のみクレジットカード可」となっている。

マジっすか。。

自分はというと、デビットカードはおろか、銀行口座さえ持っていない。

おいおい、どうすんだよ・・

事前登録でUKの住所登録しちゃったしなぁ。。

つーか、なんでこんなことすんだよ。

自分みたいにちゃんと事前登録して、正規の手続きを踏んで購入しようとしているやつまで、デビットカードがないだけで拒否するつもりかい。

と、ここまで書いて、さらにオフィシャルの情報をチェック。

すると、FAQのページに以下のような記述があるのを発見。

How do I pay?
• Payment by card for UK sales (both online and by telephone) will be by the following debit cards only – Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro Domestic and Solo. Credit cards will not be accepted for UK sales. (For the purpose of ticket sales the UK includes Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.)
• Postal orders and cheques raised by either a building society or a bank (as a Bankers Draft) will also be accepted as payment on the telephone ticket line. Please note personal cheques cannot be accepted. Orders will not be accepted by fax, email or personal callers.
• When you confirm your order you will be given a reference number. Cheques or postal orders, together with that reference number, must be received by the ticket agency within five working days of the sale. The address of SeeTickets is:

Cheques must be made out by the bank or building society to Glastonbury Festival 2007 Ltd

ここでは、はっきり「クレジットは受け付けない」と書かれている。

しかし、よく見ると、その下には、「電話によるオーダーのみPostal orders、またはチェックによる支払いを受け付ける」と書かれている。

チェックは無理だが、Postal ordersなら、郵便局で購入可能。

つまり、自分に残された道はこれしかないのか。。

しかし、さらにその下を見ると、「Orders will not be accepted by fax, email or personal callers」と書かれているのだが、「Personal callers」って「個人でかけた電話はダメ」ってこと？？

そういや、上に「both online and by telephone」って書いてあるしなぁ。

もう、どないやねん。。

銀行口座を持っていないことが、ここでもアダとなるとは。。

イギリスでは銀行口座持ってないとダメだな、本当に。

はぁ、なんかテンション下がってきた・・・
